Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) is the intentional structuring of learning environments to equip students for behavioral success in school and life. This school-wide approach to discipline focuses on building a safe and positive environment in which all students can learn. PBIS is intricate to students achieving.

The foundation of PBIS at John L. Golden Elementary is three universal expectations:

• Be Respectful

• Be Responsible

• Be Safe

Part of this approach is being proactive in directly teaching students expectations. Join us by reviewing these expectations with your student at home prior to the start of school and review them throughout the school year.
